Art Director, Retail | Eddie Bauer | Redmond, WA Purpose: Develop and implement brand-building, conceptual creative for retail stores and collateral. Provide overall point of view with regard to in-store graphic design execution, including permanent and promotional signage, photography art direction, direct mail, and packaging. Work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure successful execution. Key Interfaces: Design Director Catalog department Copy Writers Merchants Photo Department Print Buyers Marketing Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Computer proficiency and expertise in the following programs: Quark, InDesign, Photoshop, and Freehand. Cooperative and effective team player with outstanding presentation and communication skills. Strong presentations skills. Proven successful experience handling multiple tasks concurrently working in a fast paced, collaborative environment. Education/Experience Required: BA or AA degree in design or graphic design desired. 3+ years art director experience in the apparel industry. 5+ years experience in graphic design and environmental graphic design for the apparel retail industry. Expertise in layout, typography, photography, and computer graphics. Production of final artwork to required specifications for both print and signage fabrication. Experience guiding graphic designers to ensure design solutions meet expectations and business objectives. Portfolio of representative work will be required. WHAT DO WE DO?
